Callum is no stranger to the camera and has an extensive modelling portfolio behind him. He is also a talented performer and trained at The Urdang Academy in London. With his striking looks and versatality, Callum has already picked up a social media following, particularly via Instagram and Tumblr. He is currently represented by Grantham Hazeldine and W Athletic.
Before the shoot happened, I had been talking to him about shooting but never able to commit to a date that suited us both. On this occasion, I was shooting with Sam Reynolds for my 2015 calendar and the idea came up to shoot them both together, and also separately for the calendar. Several days before I had been introduced to a beautiful lakeside area in Surrey and noted that it would make a beautiful shoot location. Although the day was not warm, fortunately it was sunny and we were able to get a number of great shots that you can see below.
Welcome to the second installment of Tuesday’s Top Ten! Today I’d like to share with you my Top Ten People I’d Love To Work With. Now, please note they are not in any particular order, and if any of the great guys featured here happens to see this… please don’t hesitate to drop me a message!
1. Francisco Lachowski
Francisco, sometimes known as Chico, has had a highly successful modelling career and recently became a father. He is highly sought out for advertising and gallery exhibitions. Born in Brazil, he launched his career after winning Brazil’s Supermodel of the Year contest.
2. Diego Barrueco
Diego is a highly popular model based in London. He is represented by agencies all over the world including the UK, USA, Spain and Italy. His Instagram account currently has almost 200,000 followers, and he runs an interactive Tumblr account.
3. Justin Barnhill
Justin is from North Carolina in the USA, and has done print work for many of the most famous and exclusive brands in the world. He was featured in HERO magazine alongside Colton Haynes and is represented by agencies worldwide.
4. Zac Efron
Although he had roles in several TV shows, it wasn’t until High School Musical that ZEfron appeared on the worldwide radar. He’s one of the few Disney Channel stars to have successfully made the leap from teen heartthrob to legitimate movie star. He’s shown his versatility through movies ranging from Hairspray to Bad Neighbors to The Paperboy. I have to say though, sitting through the latter movie was quite distressing!
5. Thaddeus Nelson
Thaddeus hails from Utah, just outside Salt Lake City. Before I got into portrait photography seriously, I had the pleasure of being work colleagues with him, although we never did have the chance to shoot. One day in the not too distant future, I will make that happen!
6. River Viiperi
River really began his modelling career at the age of 19, and comes from the party capital of Ibiza in Spain. He runs several very popular social media accounts and this year launched his own clothing brand. Sadly the shipping costs to the UK almost match the reasonable merchandise costs – but on my next trip stateside you’ll definitely be seeing some of his range featured in my work!
7. Colton Haynes
From Wichita, Kansas, Colton began modelling for A&F when he was just fifteen. He sprung to popularity appearing in the TV show Teen Wolf, and went on to play a major role in Arrow. After starring in several music videos, Colton released a few music tracks. This year he participated in A&F’s Search for a Star campaign.
8. Harry Goodwins
From London, Harry is represented by some of the world’s top agencies, and is currently in Models.com Top 50 list. He’s done many editorials and covers, and continues to appear in fashion shows worldwide.
9. Tom Daley
Since representing Great Britain in the 2008 Summer Olympics, diver Tom has been constantly in the nation’s public eye. He went on to win a bronze medal in London’s 2012 Summer Olympics and became the star of a reality celebrity diving show.
10. The Rosas Twins
This is where my Top Ten technically becomes a Top Eleven! The Rosas Twins are currently represented by RED New York and are from Barcelona, where they are extremely popular and have built a large fan base through social media. I’ve had the pleasure of discussing a future shoot with them, and while plans are currently on hold – watch this space!
Hey guys, and welcome to my week roundup. It’s been one of my busiest weeks ever, and I’m hoping to get on top of all of this editing this week. I’m not generally a superstitious person – but I’m finding it bad luck to pre-announce who I’ll be shooting with, so I’ll be surprising everyone a lot more in the future. When I say bad luck, I find that when I make a shoot announcement there’s always a cancellation or delay of some sort. Here’s this week’s example: I’d just finished finalising details with a mode, and he put out a message on Twitter saying he’s excited to start shooting, so I retweeted it – an hour later, the shoot was postponed due to family and exam commitments. The next day I had a shoot with two models in London. I confirmed with both, and when I was on the train on the way up, I tweeted “Double shoot today in London!” Not 10 minutes later, one of the models messaged me letting me know he had been taken ill and would like to shoot the following week. Fortunately now he’s feeling better, and for the time being I’ll refrain from any special announcements. Don’t let it put you off shooting though, it happens for good too – a model I announced a few weeks ago cancelled last minute as he was offered a once in a lifetime chance to shoot for a top magazine.
I’m not one to sit and brood over missed opportunities like how to grow taller naturally course, so I wasted no time in finding quick replacements, and you’ll be seeing the results of these shoots very soon. I’m really excited about the images I’ve taken this week, and can’t wait to get the editing done. Tomorrow I’ll be completing the editing for last week’s hotel shoot, and a new magazine cover for Vanity Hype magazine. Recently I’ve been running some test shoots with some models from W Athletic, and this week I got to shoot with Kerim Hassan, one of their new faces. I also had great shoots with Joshua Martin, David Cobbald, Jay Rincon, Tony Mellis and Lewis Jordon. Told you I’ve been busy!
I’ve photographed Lewis before, quite a while ago, and interestingly enough we ended up shooting at a moments notice in exactly the same location as our previous shoot. Lewis is also a digital artist, and I had the idea to do a photography comparison. Usually I’m not a fan of others retouching my work but decided to try something different. Over a great meal in Greenwich, we selected a few images that we both loved from the shoot. We both then edited the exact same images independently, to see what our different takes would be on the same images. It was an interesting exercise, as you’ll see one of the images we got pretty similar, but the others we used quite different styles. Check out our work below. You can see more of Lewis on his YouTube channel: LewisJordonMedia.
You’ll see the Saturday Sale has been extended until tomorrow due to high demand. Get booking quickly as although I’ll be doing great offers in the future, it’s very unlikely that I’ll be repeating the offer at this price. At some point in the near future, I will be restructuring all my packages to remain current with modern demands. A one size fits all package no longer works in the social media age! Yesterday’s Saturday Sale was due to be an amazing giveaway, but I’ve decided now to hold that until next Saturday. I’m still not giving away the details until it’s announced – but make to sure to visit on Saturday morning!
Last but not least, I’ve started shooting the 2015 Calendar, and have completed three of the twelve shoots for it so far. I’ve confirmed eight fantastic models for it, but still haven’t made my final selections. If you have a favourite model that you’d like to see appear, or know someone suitable, use the contact box on the right to let me know!

I originally approached Ronnie in regards to a large social media project I’m working on. I’ll be posting updates about that project as I have them – but if anyone has a spare couple of thousand pounds laying around, I’ll be more than happy to put them towards the project! Ronnie was keen to start modelling with me, and we shot messages back and forth for a while with various ideas. To that end, I decided to edit most of the photographs in different styles.
Right up to the night before the shoot, the plan was to shoot in and around London’s Hampstead Heath, but due to unforeseen circumstances the plan was changed at the last minute, and we used the versatile Regents Park. I’ve shot at this beautiful location before, so regular viewers of my work may recognize some of the places used.
Ronnie is a talented footballer and plays semi-professionally for Watford. He also works as a football coach, passing his skills onto younger players. In his free time, Ronnie has developed a large social media following and through this has been asked to promote and model for various up and coming clothing brands.
10 Random Questions with Ronnie…
I had Ronnie choose 10 random questions from a list, and found he has a secret to happiness most of us take forever to discover – and no, it’s not a hair product.110
Life in Living Color: What’s your favourite party trick?
Ronnie Norris: I do enjoy body shots.
LiLC: What hair products do you use?
RN: Got 2 Be styling wax and gel effect hairspray.
LiLC: Do you have any siblings?
RN: A baby brother and sister.
LiLC: Where would you like to see yourself in ten years time?
RN: Hopefully modelling. If not either a fireman, or something in the sports industry.
LiLC: Put your iPhone music on shuffle – what song came up?
RN: Or Nah – The Weeknd.
LiLC: What was your most embarrassing moment?
RN: Doing a lap of honour around the QPR stadium while I was playing for their youth team, I sprinted into the goalpost and fell over while all the fans watched!
LiLC: How many Easter eggs did you get, and what was your favourite?
RN: Only one, as I’m not a fan of chocolate. I did get some new clothes, my favourite being a black floral t-shirt.
LiLC: If you could model anywhere in the world, where would it be?
RN: Australia, in the outback, just enjoying the beautiful surroundings and nature. Some of my relatives live out there. Or a tranquil place like the Maldives with crystal clear water, and the surreal experience.
LiLC: What hidden talents do you have?
RN: I’m a singer, and also play semi-pro football for Watford.
LiLC: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
RN: Nothing. I feel that I am who I am, and the best thing to do is to love yourself and love your life, not wishing for a better one. If you want something then work and try to make it happen!

City: Camberley, Surrey
Chest: 36 in
Waist: 30 in
Shoe: 10 UK
Eighteen year old Jordan is an aspiring footballer from Camberley in Surrey. He was suggested to me to photograph by one of my social media contacts – I messaged him, and although he’d never modelled before, he was certainly up to the challenge. Due to some technical challenges we actually did the shoot twice – which turned out to be a blessing in disguise – as we got some great lighting and some new shots that were not thought of the previous time.
It took a while to choose a suitable location for the shoot, and Jordan suggested a small park close to the town centre. It turned out to be a great choice, as we discovered a neglected and abandoned tower at the top of a hill close by. Upon doing some research I discovered that it is locally known as Camberley’s Obelisk although it’s actually a tower. It was built around 1770 by merchant John Norris, but the reason for the tower is not clear. About 30ft of it’s original 100ft is still intact, and although an internal staircase has been removed, iron gates close it from entry. On our visit, we found one of the gates open, which allowed us some great shots inside the tower.
Originally I thought to shoot in black and white, and asked Jordan to bring clothing of those colours. As well as this, he brought along a few other items, which worked equally well as you can see in the images below.
10 Random Questions with Jordan….
I had Jordan choose 10 random questions from a list. Make sure to carry mistletoe in your pocket… and be cute about it!
Life in Living Color: What’s skills do you have?
Jordan Powell: Football. I’m hopefully going to America soon on a scholarship.
LiLC: What’s your worst feature?
JP: My eye colour… I wish I had blue eyes.
LiLC: Tell us about your first date.
JP: We went to see American Pie, and got the last seats. They were at the front, and it was a bit awkward during the sex scene!
LiLC: What’s under your bed?
JP: Nothing. But it’s so comfy having a king size bed with memory foam mattress to myself.
LiLC: What’s the first thing you notice about a girl?
JP: When they first meet me – if they’re confident… or all shy, which is cute.
LiLC: Have you ever been to hospital?
JP: I’ve had a number of operations, including a hernia and stitches to my head.
LiLC: If you were born a girl what would your name have been?
LiLC: What’s your favourite Disney movie?
JP: Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. are both so sick!
LiLC: If you could relive one moment in your life, and not change a thing about it, what would it be?
JP: Too many to pick from, but one would be saying yes for going to trials with Reading or Fulham when asked..
LiLC: Do you have any superstitions?
JP: Refusing a kiss under the mistletoe causes bad luck 😉

I spotted Daniel a few weeks ago on Instagram and invited him to shoot for Model of the Week. He was keen on the idea and we arranged a shoot in his hometown of Reading. Although I live only 30 minutes away, I rarely go into the town although it’s a great place for shopping and dining – and turned out to be a great place to shoot too, with the River Kennet running right through the town centre.
The theme for the shoot was ‘Black on Black’ and Daniel came equipped with varying outfits, including a great baseball jersey with prominent black text over the front. With the black in mind, I made a deliberate decision to edit all the images from the shoot in vibrant colour and use a range of oranges, greens and blues in the backgrounds. We stuck to the river path throughout the shoot and got some great location and light effects. We were fortunate to have one of many recent bright sunny days – however I’m not ready to get complacent with the weather just yet!
10 Random Questions with Daniel…
I had Daniel choose 10 random questions from a list, and learned that while he’ll be famous one day, he’ll always be partial to a Disney movie. And a rich girlfriend.
Life in Living Color: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Daniel William: Signing autographs…
LiLC: What’s your favourite radio station?
DL: Radio 1
LiLC: What’s the best movie you saw last year?
DL: Disney’s Planes!
LiLC: What was your favourite childhood book?
DL: Biff and Chip – The Magic Key
LiLC: Do you have any brothers or sisters?
DL: Yes, I have two brothers and one sister.
LiLC: If you were a fashion designer, what style of clothing would you be designing?
DL: Urban fashion streetwear.
LiLC: Would you ever date somebody for money?
DL: If she was also famous, then yes!
LiLC: What would you want to do on your gap year?
DL: Travel to Africa and go on a safari.
LiLC: Which fictional character do you wish was real?
DL: Randy from South Park.
LiLC: Is there anything about the opposite sex that you just don’t understand?
DL: Why they like having huge eyebrows…

Caelan is an up and coming fitness model from the naval town of Southampton. He started working out at his local gym in July of last year, and has since seen vast improvements to his physique. As his hard work started to pay off, Caelan began to give fitness modelling a go, and has already received much interest. He is also looking at entering competitions next year, and one day hopes to be a future Mr Olympia in the Men’s Physique Division. As one of his favourite quotes states, “Never let anyone or anything come between you and your dream.” Although his fitness career is beginning, Caelan will be continuing with his studies and hopes to attend Bath University. Eventually Caelan hopes to be living and working over in Australia.
I travelled down to the coast to shoot with Caelan and shot in the picturesque Victoria Country Park, and made great use of the beach area and small marina. His prior shoots have all been strictly fitness based, but he quickly adapted to the different ideas and the final images are some of my personal favourites. The images are a mix of mine and Caelan’s choices from the shoot – when I received his selection, I was happy to see that it closely matched my own. Often when shooting with models used to fitness, there can be a fine line between showing off the model’s physique and the artistic side of the image as a whole – so it’s great when both these factors blend seamlessly.
It only took Caelan a couple of weeks to prepare his physique for the shoot. He says one of his tips is that the key to a great body starts in the kitchen, and that diet is 70% of the work. The gym takes the other 30%! I look forward to watching Caelan’s progress and successes over time, and hopefully to shoot again for other projects.
10 Random Questions with Caelan…
Life in Living Color: What songs are on your gym playlist?
Caelan Dillon: My gym playlist purely consists of Drum and Bass! Got to get that extra ear pump while working out. Sub Focus – Turn Back Time is my all time favourite to work out to!
LiLC: What terrible song or movie do you secretly love?
CD: I have to say I have a soft spot for The Notebook, it gets me welling up every time!
LiLC: What’s the most unusual name you’ve heard?
CD: Well, my own! Although it’s original, it’s notoriously hard to pronounce. Try saying my name like this: ‘Kay-Lan’
LiLC: If you and your best friend both wanted the same thing, would you let him have it?
CD: No, I’d have to have it!
LiLC: What’s your karaoke song?
CD: My favourite karaoke song has to be Naive by The Kooks. I’ve become a master at singing it due to all the hours I’ve been singing it in the shower.
LiLC: Do you have any unusual fears or phobias?
CD: My biggest phobia has to be of the unknown. I’m one of those people who would 100% take the opportunity to see what their future has in store for them.
LiLC: What city would you like to live in?
CD: It has to be Bath. Beautiful city and the high street is packed with shops!
LiLC: What’s your morning routine?
CD: My morning routine mainly consists of trying to force myself out of bed then running for the bus because I overslept!
LiLC: Would you be a dinosaur or a dragon?
CD: A dragon! Because then I could fly.
LiLC: What’s your most annoying gym habit?
CD: It has to be walking around the gym and catching a glimpse of my pump in the mirror, then suddenly performing all these poses to ‘check out my conditioning’ haha.
Enjoy the images below, and if you’d like to get in touch with Caelan, then e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with “Caelan Dillon” as the subject header.
